My December Era

Hands down. I thought this was an epic era. I loved the music, more than anything (I love all her music!!). However, after four albums, this is by far her best. I went through so much in 2007, and MD really helped me. Still does!!

I didn't realise someone had already started a My December thread when I loaded mine. I love every one of Kelly's albums , but this one is my favourite as it helped me through a difficult time. My favourite songs are Irvine , Never Again and Yeah ! I'd love to make Yeah my entrance music wherever I went !!!!

"My December" was the first album of KC's that I owned even though I've been a fan since "Breakaway". "My December" is my favorite album of hers. I think the more hardcore pop/rock really suits her voice. She really both hit those high rocing notes and those deep sweet notes. My favorite songs from the "My December" album are "Maybe", "Haunted" and "Sober". I think they all have so deep lyrics and both "Sober" and "Haunted" really brings out her voice beautifully.

Someone has to go against the current, and that's me. To be honest MD is probably Kelly's album I like less as a whole (and I say as a whole, because the sole fact it has Sober makes it great). Besides Sober and Can I have a Kiss I don't like that much the rest of the songs.
Now I wish I had been more of a Kelly fan in 2k7 like I am now. I too had a rough time in that year

My December is my favourite Album. The only album that i don't know so many songs is Thankful. My favourite song from this album(My December) is Haunted. I wish she had sang that at the concert. I think it really showed her vocals. You can tell that she was hurting because it's her darkest album yet. I think All I Ever Wanted was just her putting something out there so people wouldn't forget her. Don't get me wrong I like AIEW album and like almost every song but i just didn't see any emotions.
This tour was the 1st time i saw Kelly and been to every tour since. Best thing was i bought this Album like a wk before it came out and my sister tried to take it from me

"My December" is my second favorite album by any artist ever. (Second only to Imogen Heap's "Ellipse").

one of the things i loved about this era was the tour opening with the red dress on the stairs and the 'are you there are you watching me' love it
My December is definitely my absolute favorite album. Sober and Chivas are two of my favorite songs from this cd.
I love all of Kelly's albums to pieces (honestly I do!) but if I had to put them in order, My December is my 3rd favorite behind AIEW and Breakaway. I love every song on this album but it wasn't too too exciting and her voice kinda was stretched out a lot at certain times. But I still love it!! and yes, i agree that the album photoshoot is her best yet!! beautiful pictures

When I feel like having a good time, braai, drinking, hanging with friends and just chill, I listen 2 the CD. My fav song of the album, Don't waist your time. Love 2 dance 2 the song!!
MD is my favorite album ever! It's so full of soul, so true...really inspiring! And the shoot is perfect! All pictures are pretty...what was that!
And I can tell Kelly was thinking about my life while she was writing the songs (hahahaha)...was exactly what i was needing in that time. A real therapy!
I'm gonna have to agree. There's something about the lyrics and sound that just capture you. It's not just the look of the album or the style she was into at the time. It was the fact that she put everything into that album and came up with something so incredibly exposed and yet so amazingly beautiful at the same time. Sometimes in life we have to almost hit that rockbottom crash and burn moment before we can truly shine.

MD is easily my favorite KC album! It also contains one of my favorite songs (Sober). I was also going through a lot in 2007 and this album helped me through it all!
My December has always been underappreciated by the media but it is definitely my favourite Kelly era. The album photoshoot was beautiful and the album itself was amazing, some of favourite Kelly songs ever are on that album and it'll always hold a special place to me.
I liked Kelly most during the My December era too. During the Thankful era she was too girl-next-door, during the Breakaway she was very thin and I didn't like her style (in some photos she looked like Hillary Duff! OMG), during the AIEW era she was too... colorful. The MD era was the best, she looked mysterious and amazing and her music was soooo fine.
